Kulp Controllers, Built Ready-to-Run for Your Light Show

A Kulp controller runs your show from FPP and drives the pixel strings across your display. Both builds on this page are Ready-to-Run. We mount the Kulp board with its Meanwell power supplies in a YPS metal enclosure and wire it here in the shop. Setting it up in xLights or FPP is the only step left.

Choosing between the two builds

The 8-output build at $475 suits a first pixel display or one large prop. The 16-output build at $705 covers a full yard show. Each local port on it drives up to 800 pixels at 40 FPS with power injection, or 1,500 at 20 FPS. Four RJ45 differential ports push another sixteen strings out to props at the far end of the yard. What does Ready-to-Run include?

The Kulp board, two Meanwell 350-watt 12V power supplies, and a YPS metal enclosure, assembled and wired before it ships. You bring your pixel strings and a network cable.

Do Kulp controllers work with xLights and FPP?

Yes. Kulp boards run FPP directly, and FPP plays back the sequences you build in xLights. Two RS485 outputs also carry DMX.
